Adi Cohen, the founder of DCR, is a NY-based American-Israeli businessman/financier, and a former scholar at Tel Aviv University in the fields of English Literature and Classical History. In business, Cohen is an expert on high-risk, security high-tech stocks and has dealt extensively in Venture Capital, high-risk investments both in public and private finance markets throughout and since the 1990s in New York’s financial markets through several IPO’s and Private Placements. Cohen operates through the Regal Group and BCL Group, and as a Managing Partner he heads the film packaging operation of BCL. In addition, Cohen is involved in seed investment of Media, Tech and Infrastructure Securities.
Academically, Cohen’s scholarly work includes extensive writing on the decline of the late Roman Republic, whereas in the field of literature he has researched the cultural manifestations of consumerism in the aftermath of the American Civil War.
Mark Damon, a board member of DCR, is also the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Foresight Unlimited, a company he founded in 2004. Foresight Unlimited was established to develop, finance, produce and distribute high quality feature films for the domestic and international marketplace. Credited with having invented the foreign sales business as we know it today, Damon is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on international distribution and has played a successful role in various facets of the entertainment industry for over 50 years.
Damon has produced or executive produced over 70 films, and his films have received 10 Oscar nominations including: the 2005 Academy Award winner Monster, starring Charlize Theron, the critically acclaimed, multi-Oscar nominated World War II drama Das Boot, directed by Wolfgang Petersen and The NeverEnding Story, also directed by Wolfgang Petersen. Damon is one of the original founding members of AFMA, now known as the International Film and Television Alliance (IFTA). Mark received his M.B.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of California Los Angeles and resides with his wife in Beverly Hills.
Jordi Rediu, a board member of DCR, has been involved within the film industry for over 20 years, founding Zip Films in 2000, and also participating in launching Regal Entertainment in which he serves as a senior producer.
Jordi was born in Terrassa, Barcelona, Catalonia. He graduated in dramatic art from the Theater Institute of Barcelona. Has shared a stage with Peny Cherns and Sue Weston, with Pavel Khomski, with John Stassberg and with Director Genadi Bogdanov on biomechanics.
